Change to forum thread deletion policy

Due to popular demand the forum thread deletion policy has been changed to prevent users from deleting entire threads after a reply has been posted.

As of now if you attempt to delete a thread then if thread has no replies, the thread is deleted
If the thread has one or more reply and the original poster author tries to ‘delete this message’ then:

  • The post content is deleted
  • Any subsequent posts remain
  • The 1st post is made read-only, so the thread subject can’t be removed

If you wish to have a thread removed after a reply has been made then hit the Report button and enter a reason to request a moderator deletes the thread.
